What’s new | HIGHLAND HIGH SCHOOL

🏈Celebration must go on!

The buzz around Highland High was alive and well Friday night… even without a football game! 🏈💚 When the Homecoming matchup against Barberton was canceled due to injuries on the Magics’ roster, the Hornets kept the spirit alive with a full-on community celebration featuring powder puff games, youth football previews, fun contests, and a fireworks finale! 🎆 Fans packed the stands for free admission, concessions, raffles, and varsity player autographs, turning disappointment into pride. It wasn’t game night, but it was a homecoming to remember. Especially for this year’s seniors. Pure heart, pure spirit, pure Highland! 🐝

🏫 New Playground for Wads

Valley View Elementary in Wadsworth is buzzing with joy thanks to its new inclusive playground! 🎠✨ According to the Medina Gazette it was dreamed up four years ago by Haley Duerr, inspired by a friendship between two students, the $250,000 project lets kids of all abilities play together. With support from State Rep. Sharon Ray, local businesses, and generous donors, the playground is now open to the public after school hours, proving that when a community comes together, everyone gets to play. 💕
